• Use on the prop shaft aft/behind the propeller nut to secure the propeller to the prop shaft.
• Spread the pin ears only 20 degrees to best secure the tightened prop nut.
• Do not operate your engine or drive without the propeller nut in place and secured by the cotter pin.
• Stainless steel cotter pin is durable and corrosion resistant.
• To aid future propeller removal, grease prop shaft splines with Mercury 2-4-C or Mercury Special Lube 101
