MerCruiser Anodes

Whenever two different metals are physically or electrically connected and submerged in seawater, they create an electrical current that transfers electrons from one metal to the other. The metal that loses ions will eventually corrode away into nothing, a disastrous outcome if these two metals are different parts of your boat. With MerCruiser anodes, however, you can introduce a third metal, an anode, to the equation that will corrode instead. By implementing a MerCruiser anode, you can prevent damage to the most important components of your boat.

MerCruiser Anode Kits

Also known as martyrs or anode zincs (as they are commonly made from that metal), anodes are a critical part of keeping your boat running safely and healthily. With options for every MerCruiser engine, properly using anodes kits will dramatically extend the lifespan of your engine without impacting performance. You’ll enjoy more time out on the water, spend less time having to maintain your boat, and save money by not having to replace more expensive and vital components.

Available for both the Bravo 1, 2, and 3 outdrive engines, the MerCruiser Quicksilver/Mercury anode kit is available in both aluminum and magnesium versions for both saltwater and freshwater operations. Manufactured to military-grade specifications to better protect your boat, the kit includes anodes for the flat trim tab, drive shaft plate, and lift ram, guarding the parts most susceptible to galvanic corrosion.
